Sinista New Breed Presents: Street Certified Cypher Series Volumes 1 + 2 (Video)

by Miracle

Southside heavy hitter Sinista New Breed (Evocative Image) is back behind the camera and on his hosting game. This time it’s for a new web series. The series is titled “Street Certified” and  it’s already up to volume three. The series allows selected rappers to come together and showcase their talents via a cypher. Watch the first two volumes below.

The first installment is a brief one. It includes footage from Milwaukee to Chicago. The artists who participated are as follows: Big Six, Delrock1, Top Notch J Wingo, Numerick, and Autumn Rae’n. All of the rappers did justice to the debut of the series but Big Six and J Wingo really stood out. Each had a signature flow and fresh rhymes. Overall, this was a respectable way to bring in the new venture.

The second installment is a little longer and entailed a much bigger collective of artists. The line up was wonderfully diverse though. There was representation of: the younger generation of Hip-Hop, the ladies in Hip-Hop, and the various local regions. Artists who took part in the second cypher include: Fresh Boy (BlockRockers / YUS), Billboard Burnem, Roq Rilla, Legacy Music, Joey Dee (BlockRockers / YUS), Benjamin (YTC), AC (YTC), Genius (YTC), Big Six, Milagro Jones, Monte Carlo, Lil Petty (DBFG), HekTik (StreetTeam Inc), and Rockz Solid (Brewed Fresh Records, LLC). There is no question that there was a lot of talent present for this cypher as well. But a few who shined from the pack would be: Fresh Boy, Roq Rilla, and Milagro Jones. All three artists had a certain flair about them and came with some serious lyrics. In the end, this was a pretty decent cypher and it definitely sets the tone for volume three.

**My Two Cents: I dig the idea behind this. It’s a good outlet for artists and it’s a creative way for them to gain exposure as well. Props to Sinista New Breed for providing the opportunity. Looking forward to seeing the next installment. If anyone is looking for video work or wants to participate in future volumes, Sinista can be reached via email at: sinista1138@yahoo.com. -MinM
