$hamrock (Wyte Music Records) has decided to follow up last year’s sophomore offering Money Green with a brand new mixtape. The tape is called Green Team and drops on one of the emcee’s favorite holidays, St. Patrick’ s Day (3/17). The tape is being sponsored by Wyte Music Records, DJ Ritz, and Hip-Hope website Dirty Glove Bastard. For the project’s first leak, $ham teamed up with fellow Florida rapper Dangeruss. $ham and Dangeruss initially teamed up for the “Torture Interlude” video off of the Money Green LP. The two have been collaborating off and on ever since. Dangeruss has also been making some serious noise due to his influence on the upcoming controversial film, Spring Breakers which is due out March 22nd. For “Pots On Da Stove” $ham and Dangeruss hooked up with producer Luney Tunez. The production turned out excellent. The steady foundation, vigorous pace & musical components, and aggressive vibe fuse together expertly. The hook is contagious. The delivery is absorbing and the lyrics are dexterous. The verses are inventive. Dangeruss leads off with the first part of the record and $hamrock owns the second. The duo present patented flows, sharp-witted wordplay, and fulfilling rhymes. They establish rich illustrations of what really goes down in the “hood kitchen.” Peep it as $ham spits: “I’m whipping like a fool. Trap house doing numbers. Zeros and commas. Getting to it, I promise. Lookouts by the front door. Posted up with that Llama. Smoking presidential, moving packs of that Obama. Dangerous in the kitchen. Kitchen, whipping up with that cake mix. I don’t play b–ch. I stay rich. Them big stacks I stay with.” $ham speaks like a true hustler in those opening lines. All in all, this song is a worthy edition to any playlist and for sure increases the desire for the new tape.

**My Two Cents: I think Dangeruss is a very unique artist. Combined with $hamrock’s veteran skill set, the two were bound to cook up something favorable. I really dig this track and am looking forward to hearing what else $hamrock has in store with Green Team. The tape boasts features from the likes of: Lil Wyte, Partee, Frayser Boy, and others. So there is no question that it has major promise. Anyone who isn’t already should follow $ham on Twitter to make sure they don’t miss out on any future leaks, releases, news, etc. -MinM
