Money Green (album review)

$hamrock is not letting up in any way, shape, or form when it comes to the Money Green album campaign. He recently set forth another flick from the popular LP. For this round, he chose red-hot single “East$ide.” “East$ide” was also one of the leaked singles during the promotional period that took place prior to the album’s release. It’s number four on the LP and it was produced by The Avengerz of Orlando, Florida. The banging hood anthem chronicles $hamrock’s early hustling days in the ATL.

$hamrock switched up his film crew for this one. The visuals were put together by Respect The Logo for Bloodline Productions. The video is compact and takes place outside of a deserted home. Though brief it is a splendid showing of hometown pride by $ham. Furthermore, the play on movement is pretty sly and the picture quality is immaculate. The visuals end with another nod to Southern street dancing and a bit of advertising. Overall, this was a first-class piece. And proof that keeping things simple can be a good look.

**My Two Cents: I am really feeling these promo videos from $ham. They give the viewers just enough to get them hooked and then leave them wanting more. For this particular video, I truly respect the fact that he didn’t do something typical as it relates to the concept. It would have been so easy for him to do some mob type of number with a bunch of intimidating looking people jumping around and acting a fool. But he kept things original and still managed to do the track justice. Money Green is available now and can be found at any of the above links. Please consider grabbing a copy if you haven’t already purchased one. And readers can find $ham in the realm of social media via Facebook and Twitter. -MinM
