Love Greater / The Prequel (listen/download)
The windy city’s own Neak bestowed another video upon his fans last month. The song he chose to visualize this time around is called “Who Do You Believe In.” It makes for his eighth release off of his latest album, Love Greater / The Prequel. The track was produced by Rashid Hadee and he is also a guest on the cut. Other artists who appear on the single include: MC ADaD, Slot-A, and Sincerely Yours. The track contains a nonchalant vibe and rhymes that evoke deep thought. Each of the artists did a standup job and truly shined as individuals. Peep how all of the fellas came together below.
This video was a joint effort between Domi V. and Aaron Perkins Jr. The setting for the flick is Gary, Indiana. The concept for the piece is fairly clear-cut. The fellas more or less take over a rundown building of sorts and go for what they know. There are some solo shots of each emcee in a different part of the building. The shots are accented by nifty angles and movements. Moreover, there are striking group scenes. The group has a healthy energy and seemingly form a kind of Hip-Hop brotherhood. It is a captivating thing to witness. The visuals fade out with one last glimpse of all of the emcees as a unit. In the end, this was an epic project.
**My Two Cents: Neak knocked another one out the park. I enjoyed the concept of the video and the track itself is fresh. All five rappers came with some heat. Also, the whole thing had an old school Hip-Hop aura to it. Very pure and all about the lyricism, love it. Readers should for sure give Love Greater / The Prequel a listen in it’s entirety.
