Readers have seen countless features about local Milwaukee talent DJ Poizon Ivy and her hosting events for other talents, artists, etc. But not too often does she do things for herself, so this post is extra special. This past Saturday (3/10) the young promising deejay debuted her first mixtape just in time for Spring Break. It’s entitled Spring Break Seduction and is hosted by Atlanta R&B crooner Bertell. The tape features a variety of new smash singles from artists like: Rick Ross, Trey Songz, Wiz Khalifa, and more. Bertell himself even contributed three unreleased tracks to the project. DJ Poizon Ivy had this to say about the tape: “This mixtape is the perfect soundtrack to your spring break vacation. It’s multifaceted. Play it while you travel or use it as a sultry soundtrack for the after party following the main event, if you know what I mean.” Sounds enticing right? That’s because it is. **My Two Cents: This tape is dope and features some really hot cuts. Some of my personal faves include: “Ride” by Bertell, “Roc” by The Dream, and “Tattoo” by Natasha Mosley. If I had a life and was actually going on vacation for Spring Break, this would for sure be in heavy rotation. It’s one of those mixtapes that can be played straight through without skipping songs.
