Meet Khadijah Monay Miller, better known by the stage name Luxury. She is an independent artist who specializes in the mastery of a Pop, Urban, EDM, and Reggae blended sound. She has worked with an independent label from 2012-2014 and is now ready to take her career to the next level. Raised in Newark, NJ her love for music and the arts came about almost instinctively. Since the beginning of time Luxury has been showcasing her talent and diligently working towards actualizing her dreams of being a world renowned singer and songwriter. She is heavily influenced by Pop Culture and 90’s Hip-Hop and R&B, such as: Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Brandy, Rihanna, Madonna, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, and Chris Brown. Due to Luxury’s eclectic style her songwriting is a little different from most songwriters who started out as poets. Instead of beginning the song by writing she “finds her melodies first and then the words fall into place.” By relying on the melodies to anchor the feelings and emotions of the songs, she is able to reach a broader audience and not be boxed in by one particular sound.

Luxury has a Teyana Taylor sound with a Rihanna swag. She is so good at being bad, and that’s a great thing. Luxury isn’t trying to sell you on a style, she is the style. Her music is what the kids of today would eat up. A female Chris Brown, if you will. Luxury is in the top five because music is more than putting pretty words together, it’s evoking a feeling. An emotion. And that is what Luxury is great at. Bringing out that emotion with a bad girl attitude that the general audience would be all over.
