Emmitt James has decided to release a new project this Fall. It has been dubbed Black University which if readers will recall was the name of the demo from the last post that featured the multifaceted talent. For those who missed the post or may want to revisit it, it can be found here. James made the announcement in conjunction with the debut of the work’s first official single. The song is titled “Polaroids” and Dee Phr3sh happens to be on deck for a guest appearance.

To give the people a little mid-week entertainment, Kia Rap Princess released the second episode of her documentary The Road To No Limit. This time she and 40Mil posted up around The Rave for their location. She gives the viewer a little bit of seriousness as she breaks down a few things about the business but she also makes sure to have a little bit of fun in true KRP fashion. MC Elijah Black or Eli Black hails from NYC. He has been in the game approximately five years, achieving such feats as participating in AfroPunk’s Battle Of The Bands as lead rapper of the outfit Sibling. Earlier this month, he released his very first single for the Summer. It’s a substantial record called “GhettoBirds” that was produced by Eli himself. It also entails a guest appearance from an artist who goes by the name of Esmeralda.

Texas representative Ay-Rock is cruising right along in his quest to build a significant buzz for his upcoming mixtape, RTG (Ready To Go). His latest effort is a joint single with female artist Monie Thee Vixen called “I Got It.” The song was produced by Street Empire MG.
