4 Your Eyez Only (iTunes)

**Editor’s Note: J. Cole shook up the music world when he unexpectedly dropped two new songs & videos, a documentary, and the release date for a brand new project earlier this month. That’s a big way to makes one’s presence felt again. Especially since one of the singles (“False Prophets”) is said to be aimed at fellow rappers Kanye West and Wale. Though the tracks were not set to appear on the new LP, they made quite an impact and generated hype all the same. The new project (released 12/9) is coined 4 Your Eyez Only and one of The Illixer‘s affiliates decided to send over their thoughts on the collective. Peep what they had to say after the break.

Ever since Drizzy gave you that L, Rihmeek you, got a reputation for yourself now. Ranting at shows because you feel left out. Meek, your career is dying, you seem stressed out. Now you beefing with Wale, what is that about? I guess Meek Mill didn’t learn from the last time about posting his problems with other rappers on Social Media. Nicki Minaj’s current fling took to his Instagram to address Wale’s comments on The Breakfast Club. Basically Wale told the radio personalities that he is sort of a disgruntled employee. And Robert Rihmeek Williams decided to address his co-worker on Instagram ….

Maybach Music Group artist Meek Mill has been catching hell left and right as of late. First, he started a social media war with his fellow label mate Wale when he took to his personal Twitter account to air out grievances for what he feels is a lack of support for his music. Readers can take a look at the rants here: part one and part two. Wale responded back via a lengthy post on Instagram.

Am I my brother’s keeper? Not if you’re not tweeting about my upcoming album, according to Meek Mill. Yes, that is right. Maybach Music’s loudest general decided to air his grievances about Libby Folfax aka Wale, all over Twitter. Why? Simply because Wale hasn’t tweeted about Meek Mill’s new album Dreams Worth More Than Money. Really? Meek, then goes on about who his ‘real’ family is. Excuse me as I try not to giggle.

“Money Train”

Blaqlizt Entertainment‘s Kia Rap Princess is gearing up to take over the Hip-Hop game next month. She is scheduled to drop the highly anticipated mixtape Heiress 2 The Throne: Volume 2. There will be listening events going down for the release, so be sure to keep an eye out for details. But while fans are waiting, she’s been blessing the net with free singles and videos. Her most recent release is entitled “Money Train.” The track is Kia’s own personal spin on DMV rapper Wale‘s song “Bait.” Thus the production pretty much mirrors the original. There is a brief hook of sorts at the beginning of the cut. It is simply repetition of the title but it’s catchy. Following the hook, Kia basically just goes in for a little over a minute. With her unique flow and immaculate rhymes, she does a great job of capturing the listener’s attention and keeping it until the end. Overall, this song is a winner. The only complaint is that it’s not long enough. But then again, it wouldn’t be right for Kia to give up everything on one track.
