“Elevate” (iTunes)

Who doesn’t love a great collaboration? Milwaukee talent King Cezar has teamed up with up-and-coming brand Broke Life Clothing. The two entities recently unveiled a promotional visual that was crafted by the one & only Philly Fly Boy. The video incorporates King Cezar’s hit song “Elevate” which is produced by Taz Taylor (see above iTunes link).

The film Exodus: Gods and Kings is a rendition of Moses freeing the Hebrew slaves from Egypt and the ten commandments as told in the Bible. More specifically in the Book Of Exodus. It has been one of the most talked about as well as controversial films of the year due to the racial implications that occurred as a result of the casting choices. So it only made sense that the movie would be chosen as The Movie Council’s first ever review. Find out what they thought about the film along with the final rating they gave it after the break.

For a while now readers have been requesting that the site do just a tad bit more on the film side of entertainment. So when presented with the opportunity to partner up with a new up-and-coming group of cinema enthusiasts, it was a no brainer. The Movie Council is a group of passionate movie buffs who have decided to get together and discuss the best of the best flicks as they hit the big screen. It consists of five members total, a few of which are names that readers are sure to recognize. The members are: singer/songwriter/author Kal’L Gage, rapper/producer/videographer Rich P, rapper/assistant videographer Qewl Miles, photographer/videographer Rick Porter, and video editor Keelo Graham. To get the ball rolling the fellas made an introductory video so that their rapidly growing fan base can get to know them a little bit better and get a feel for what to expect from the upcoming movie reviews.

414 talent Qewl Miles hasn’t graced the pages of The Illixer in over a year. He’s been expanding his resume by working behind the scenes. He linked up with the one and only Philly Fly Boy to start learning the business of shooting music videos. The pair have been knocking out visuals from here to the ATL for artists such as T.I. and Trae Tha Truth, just to name a few. But Qewl has not forgotten about his music. He recently put out a brand new EP coined, ARToFFiciaL. It consists of eleven tracks and enlists guest appearances from the likes of: $killz, Lou.E Motto, Trae The Truth, etc. Take a peek after the break to discover which tunes truly gelled with the site.
