She’s a dynamic explosion of personality in the Rap game who goes by many names. She’s Nicki Minaj, Nicki Lewinsky, Nicki the Ninja, Nicki the Boss, and Nicki the Harajuku Barbie. But, over the past couple of months, people have just been wondering: “Where’s Nicki?”

Last week, Nicki reminded the world exactly where she was at with the surprise release of her singles “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li.”

Depending on who you talk to, 2017 is either the best year of recent history or a year most of us want to forget. But, 2017 was surely an incredible year for Hip-Hop. After months of exciting trailer snippets, photos of star studded cast members transformed into their evil twisted counterparts, and various other methods of buzz inducing promotion, the hugely anticipated Suicide Squad film finally hit theaters this past Friday (8/5). The flick features names such as: Will Smith, Viola Davis, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie, just to name a few. The premise centers around the worst of the worst villains from everyone’s favorite comics coming together to save the earth from a dangerous entity. It is every bit of epic as it seems.

New Year, Same Bull. While you were out spending your New Year’s Eve with friends and family, Lil Wayne decided to reconcile with his ‘dad.’ Yes, you read that right. Lil Tunechi went back to his abuser. After everything Birdman has done to him not just this past year but over time, Wayne turned yellow and returned. However, Wayne isn’t the only one who has left Birdman’s nest over bad business transactions, only to return later on. Which makes me ask, are folks afraid of Birdman?
