Trap Society (listen/download)

Earlier this year Milwaukee emcees $killz (Sypher Squad) and Big Curse (Nak Musick) teamed up to represent the city in a major way. They created a track called “Solo Dolo” that ended up being featured on the Trap Society mixtape put together by Saul Garza (Brick Squad Monopoly). Which means they got to hold rank along side a lot of Southern heavy hitters like: Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka, Roscoe Dash, etc. That is an impressive accomplishment and not something that everybody in the game can post on their resume. And then to top it off, the record turned out hot. The quiet yet durable bass, played down secondary elements, and raw street vibe culminate in a blazing combination. $killz did his thing on the hook with a composed delivery and stern memorable lyrics. The verses are a hit too. Big Curse takes the lead and $killz settles up the end. Both artists came with personable flows, quick wordplay, and elite rhymes. Overall, this was a very official record. So much so that the duo decided to releases a video for the cut. Check it out below.

This video was developed by Sergio Soprano (EsGee Films). The plot is fairly simple. It more or less centers around $killz & Curse as they spend the day out and about enjoying decent weather. They do some cruising, stop at a car wash, and just vibe out in a way that only two of the dopest spitters in the 414 can. The visuals are spruced up with diverse vantage points, cinematic effects, and effortless transitions. The flick concludes with one last glimpse of $killz chilling in the garage of the car wash. All in all, this was a top of the line project.

**My Two Cents: This is my new favorite song/video of the moment. The track is crazy and the video is non-complex but it represents the song perfectly. $killz & Curse work flawlessly together. And they have to be proud of the fact that they are featured on a mixtape with some well known respected names in the Southern Rap scene. Major salute to the fellas. Readers should for sure check out the video and share if they like it. I’m sure the duo will appreciate the views. -MinM
