Ladies and gentlemen, meet Kenza Dawn. She’s a lovely expressive indivdiual from right here in the Mil-Town. She’s an emcee with a bit of a soulful spoken word twist. So she’s definitely unique. Garnering comparisons to greats like MC Lyte and Queen Latifah, her goal is to make an impact on the world with her passionate feminine nature and stirring lyrics. She is off to a great start so far. She’s shared the stage with names like KRS One and Kanye West. Additionally, she has infiltrated the performing arts world with time spent in every medium from the theater stage to television. And her Revibal mixtape series has cemented her as a force to be reckoned with here in the states as well as abroad. So that is quite the track record. Last month, the eccentric spirit released her debut album Feminetics. The premiere single from which is entitled “U & I.” The song features Adi Armour and it has a visual that is currently making waves.
The song is a beautiful ode to love and the video is a perfect compliment. It features Kenza Dawn out and about, looking totally enamored in her own little realm of peace and happiness. There are some moments of her with her significant other as well. The two have a wonderful chemistry that is sure to warm the heart of any viewer. The flick concludes with glimpses of Miss Dawn in travel mode as she maneuvers her way through the airport. Overall, this is an extremely charming effort.
