“Members Only” is produced by Refuuj. The production here is slick. The low bass, suave background elements, creeping tempo, and tense vibe work flawlessly together. The hook is memorable. The delivery syncs up perfectly with the beat and the lyrics are explicit. The verses are solid. The fellas lace the record with unique individualized flows, crafty wordplay, and favorable rhymes. They create an intriguing image of the “members only club” that is sure to entice anyone who may be listening. A cluster of notable lines from said imagery are: “I don’t want your b—h bro. We just vibing. I ain’t trying to wife her. I just want to try it. Oh we got a problem? You ain’t gone like it. See them killers to my left, bro they work the night shift. But they ain’t really on it. They just on some night s–t. You know the real quiet type. On some standby s–t. But let them bottles pop. When the club light end, they gone catch you in the dark. Hit you with the light stick.” The sauce dripping from those lines right there is undeniable. As a whole, this is a quality collaboration.
**My Two Cents: Not usually a fan of the Trap style music gracing the airwaves these days but “Members Only” is pretty legit. The production is valid and Chi City makes a lasting first impression. His flow stands out and he has a few strong bars worth quoting in his verse. 2 Chainz even comes correct and if you know me from my early blogging days you know that’s a big statement coming from me (lol). I think readers definitely need to give this an ear and then go check out that 87 EP. -MinM
