It has been entirely too long since Bull JR of Higher Education Records graced the pages of the site. He has been developing quite the name for himself in the music scene via his intense passion for his craft and his wildly insane energy during his live performances. He has also been hard at work on an upcoming project titled Body Bagz. There are two singles he has leaked for promotional purposes. The first is called “Air Bound.” This is a Vybez Beatz produced track. The production here is of a high quality. The sophisticated base, uniform musical components, dreamy pace, and mellow vibe make for an impeccable combination. The hook is a treasure too. Bull gives a taste of his singing abilities. He’s actually pretty good. The vocals have a very enjoyable melody to them and the lyrics are uplifting. The verses are gifted. Bull exhibits his patented flow, formative wordplay, and novel rhymes. He maps out his plans to take over the top spot in a winsome manner. Peep it as he spits: “It’s my time. I ain’t sharing no clock. I’m taking my time. So I’m taking yo watch. And all these n—as asking when it’s gone stop? A couple seconds after never. When the tick don’t tock. Broadway balling like Melo. Creeping through the back door of the game like hello. Trying to get a couple strings pulled like a cello. So I can make it shake and make it quake like jello. For real though.” Those are some vibrant bars right there. Overall, this selection is a real prize.
**My Two Cents: Bull JR has become one of my favorite artists over the past couple of years. He is sitting on some serious material and I can’t wait for the world to hear it. Body Bagz is going to be a great release. He is definitely in the league of dangerous young emcees to watch out for. Keep a lookout for more from the HER talent in the near future. -MinM
