Background Info: DJ Mike Smoove is a name that holds some weight amongst the Hollywood elite. He has worked with everyone from the likes of Swizz Beatz to New York Jets player Antonio Cromartie. He fell in love with music early on but would spend his youth creating a name for himself as a basketball star. His moniker is even derived from his talents on the courts. Eventually, he went on to ease into the music game via a variety of mediums including rapping. Ultimately, it would be deejaying that won his heart. He got some equipment, linked up with some greats to learn the ropes, and the rest is pretty much history. To date, DJ Mike Smoove has rocked venues such as: Playhouse, Supperclub, The House Of Blues, and more. In 2010, he became a member of the infamous Core DJ coalition putting him in the A-list ranks with names that include: Kid Capri, Big Tigger, and DJ Scratch. Additionally, he can be heard on the air courtesy of Core DJ Radio / XM Shade 45. Smoove did a stint in the comedy world as well, serving as the DJ / musical director for projects with Bob Sumner (Def Comedy Jam). Smoove maintains the mind set of: “There is no better feeling than playing a song that everybody loves.” Successfully living out his dreams, the well established talent hopes to be an inspiration to others in the business. Also, he hopes to see the day where the DJ is once again the highly regarded life of the party and core of the music.
