Southern Hospitality: Wyte Music Ryders Cypher (Video)

All Hip-Hop fans alike have come to recognize the month of October as the month of the infamous BET Hip-Hop Awards. This year’s award show took place in Atlanta and was hosted by Mike Epps. The thing that the award show has become known for is the themed group cyphers. Drawing inspiration from the big night, a few Wyte Music Records affiliates took to the parking lot outside of the show and created a cypher of their own. Though it is not an official cypher, it is still pretty dope. There is a certain appeal in the spontaneous nature of it. The artists that were on deck for the cypher include: VA (up-and-comer who originates from Virginia but now resides in the ATL), Chief Of The State (representing for Cali), Young Tone (holding it down for Memphis, TN), Ace (Part of the group Thug Therapy and an official Wyte Music Records artist), and T.K. (Not necessarily an artist but decided to rep for the ATL and join in the fun). The affair was captured by Trevor Post for his new company Music City Films. All of the guys definitely showed out and made their respective cities/camps proud.

**My Two Cents: This cypher turned out well. In fact, it was better than some of the official cyphers that were part of the awards. All of the rappers held their own but my faves were Chief Of The State and Young Tone. They went off. Much love to Trevor Post and Music City Films for sharing this with the site. It was a good look. -MinM
