South Side Tone is a fairly popular name in the Milwaukee music scene. He’s been keeping himself relevant by dropping dope mixtapes and releasing a steady flow of videos. His most recent flick is for a track he did with the homie Trunk Bussa (Dope Beats Fam Gang). The song is titled “On Time.” The cut is a sick hood number with flawless production, a raw hook, and exceptional rhymes from Tone and Trunk. The visuals are off the chain as well. Check them out below.
This video was done by the one and only Sinista New Breed. The video takes place within the city and includes scenes from Wisco Sports Bar & Grille on the Southside of town. Additionally, there are cameo appearances by: members of StreetTeam Inc, rapper Billboard Burnem, Ole P (Vibe Music), and others. The plot for the piece is set around Tone and Trunk being turnt up with extra vibrant personas. Sinista toys around a bit with the hues and scene changes too. The most notable being shots that feature a small area done in blue and greyish tints. It is a very striking technique. The video ends with a little bit of comedy. Overall, this was a five-star project. Major salute to the fellas.
**My Two Cents: This is probably the best track I’ve heard from South Side Tone. And I’ve been a fan of Trunk Bussa for a bit now. So I wasn’t surprised that his part turned out well. Also, the video came out great. Sinista is getting better and better with every one he does. For more with Tone, readers can check him out here. -MinM
