Snow Tha Product is making quite a bit of noise at the moment. She is still on the road off and on, getting her fans woke in cities worldwide. She just made a nice splash at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards courtesy of the cypher that she participated in. The cypher also included: David Banner, Treach, Vic Mensa, and King Los. And of course she has some new music in the works. She is currently preparing a mixtape labeled 40z In First Class. To get the buzz going, she dropped a fresh single on Facebook the other day which features Ty Dolla $ign. The single is called “1 Time.”
The production here is snazzy. The smooth infrastructure, trendy background elements, breezy tempo, and low key vibe marinate appropriately together. The hook is relishable too. Ty Dolla $ign provides complimentary vocals and the lyrics are memorable. The verses are good. Snow Tha Product utilizes a crisp flow, practical wordplay, and quality rhymes. She let’s a former lover know that his ship has sailed and she has no interest whatsoever in his attempts to win her back. Ty Dolla $ign makes a nice case at the end from the male perspective with finespun harmonies and endearing lyrics. A few lines to be aware of from Snow include: “I guess the saying is true when it pertain to you. Cause you be missing what you had like it’s a thing to do. You left a dollar for a dime and now when things improve, you wanna call me up talking about I’m swinging through. And with them late night texts. Talking all that mess. Saying to give you one night cause you were my best. Boy I don’t really pay no mind to anything I’ve left. There must be something that you missing. But I digress.” Those words right there detail a scenario that anyone who has been through a break-up before can relate to. As a whole, this is a satisfying record.
**My Two Cents: I am too excited for Snow’s upcoming project and was elated to see that she had dropped a new single. She and Ty Dolla $ign make some valid tracks together. This one is no different. The beat is nice and easy. The content is authentic. It’s a modest way to start laying the foundation for the new tape. I believe readers will feel the same way.
