15 years ago today, the Hip-Hop community suffered a major loss. On March 9, 1997, the legendary Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down while leaving an event in Los Angeles, CA. His career had been a controversial one due to his beef with another Hip-Hop legend, the infamous Tupac Shakur. Shakur was gunned down in Las Vegas the year prior. Like Shakur’s murder, Biggie’s murder still remains unsolved to this day. Though there has been countless theories that the two are somehow connected. Sadly, the Hip-Hop community may never find out what really happened. Though Biggie was taken fairly early in his career, he definitely made a huge impact on the industry and left behind a ton of devoted fans. **My Two Cents: Not a big fan of Biggie but I believe in paying respects. Also, I can’t deny the influence that he had on Hip-Hop. He is for sure one of the rappers whose death changed the game forever. He is missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace Big Poppa! -MinM
