Beloved controversial underground rapper Tech N9ne is getting ready to embark on the longest tour of his career. The tour is called the Hostile Takeover 2012 Tour and will involve the rapper knocking out 90 shows in 99 days. He is going to be a pretty busy individual. But he will not be going on the journey alone. He is bringing some of his Strange Music family along for the ride including: Krizz Kaliko, Mayday, Prozak and Stevie Stone. If that isn’t enough to peak fans’ interest, Tech is bringing one more crazy rapper on board. Who is that lucky emcee you ask? It’s beloved Cleveland native and newest Bad Boy Records member Machine Gun Kelly. Yes Tech N9ne and MGK will be sharing the same stage, lookout. Kelly is ready to go and very grateful for the opportunity. He is lacing up for the tour as we speak and promises to bring his signature wild energy to every city to ensure that fans get a very memorable show. Tech is excited about the upcoming tour as he has been on the grind for over ten years now, working to accomplish such major history making feats as this one. To date, the rappers gets in about 200 shows per year. So the tour will help him meet almost half of his quota very early in the year. Reps from Strange Music are happy about the tour as well. They stated Tech has come a long way since the beginning of his career; where it was extremely hard for him to even book shows, let alone put together a record setting tour. The Hostile Takeover 2012 Tour is scheduled to hit numerous popular cities like: New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, and more. Readers can get more details about the tour and ticket information via Tech’s website. The takeover begins March 22, peep the promo video below. Though they may have the longest and most insane Hip-Hop tour of the year, Tech and MGK are not the only rappers hitting the road. The one and only Mac Miller is also about to embark on a tour. Mac’s tour also kicks off in March and will also run about three months. His tour is entitled The Macadelic Tour and includes about 22 shows. The tour will involve about 18 college stops, a festival event, and some international shows as well. Some states that the tour will hit are: Wisconsin, Michigan, Virginia, Ohio, etc. Mac is not going to be traveling alone either. He will be joined on the road by Chicago rappers The Cool Kids. The Macadelic Tour kicks off on March 27 and is scheduled to conclude on June 1 in Amsterdam. Readers can get more information about the tour at the above provided link.
**My Two Cents: I love all of these artists and hope that they have successful tours. But I wish one of the tours was coming to Milwaukee. Though I’m not sure I am brave enough to take on a crowd of Tech N9ne and MGK fans together, lol. Those crowds are going to be beyond ridiculous in more ways than one. It would be nice to see Mac Miller do his thing though. And its no secret that I go hard for The Cool Kids. Oh well, maybe one day. Looks like the Spring and Summer months are going to be big for Hip-Hop. And there is nothing wrong with that. -MinM
