Babyface Monster and his Chi-Bangerz website have teamed up with a company called Custom Instrumentals for a neat little contest. It’s called “Who’s Got Bars?” and is fairly simple. Those who are interested in participating sign up for Custom Instrumentals and download the beat that they have selected for the venture. Then artists are to record a verse over the beat and send it back in. The verse can be freestyled or pre-written and the recording does not necessarily have to be done via studio. The vocals just have to be crisp. From there the entry will be mixed and submitted to a panel for judging. There will be a total of three winners chosen. The prizes up for grabs are a three hour studio session in the windy city or a customized instrumental. The current round of the contest runs until August 15th.
