Now that the site has a pretty good feel for what Drama can do with traditional style music, he decided to show off his freestyle skills. He sent over the video for his freestyle to the popular old school Mobb Deep track “Shook Ones (Part II).” The original beat is retained throughout as Drama goes in for almost two minutes straight. He distributes a well grounded flow, clever wordplay, and satisfactory rhymes. He does a kosher job of holding his own against the classic instrumental.
The video for the freestyle was shot by MizArt Films. It’s completely done in a black & white color scheme. It takes place outdoors in a gritty residential area. The camera basically just captures Drama as he dons all black and spits his material. The visuals are sans any special novelties or tricks but it’s for the best. The stripped down nature fits the vibe of the selection perfectly. The vision expires with Drama sort of mushing the camera before turning his back to the viewer and walking away. All in all, it’s a noble & concise accompanying flick. -MinM
