Rockz Solid – Video Verse Freestyle

Queen of the South-side music scene Rockz Solid, took a little bit of a break from the mic to get her personal affairs in order. But the artist in her was recently reawakened and she decided to make a come back. She’s been easing back into the game with a couple of different freestyle videos. The latest of which can be found above. Looking fierce in her all black attire, she goes in for a little over a minute. The heavy hitting bars and raw delivery that she is known for are still very much intact. It is truly a pleasure to have her officially back in action. She is working on some new original tunes and she has a couple of other ventures up her sleeve as wel. The Illixer will definitely be keeping tabs to ensure we don’t miss anything. WELCOME BACK ROCKZ, WE MISSED YOU!

FamousMuthafucka (Bradley Perich) Presents – Reality Check TV 414

Famous has expanded his resume beyond music and photography. He recently put together a new YouTube channel for the MKE music scene coined Reality Check TV 414. The channel is slated to bring viewers and fans alike the latest in: local releases, Rap Battles Cyphers, Speak Your Peace Cyphers, fashion, interviews, behind the scenes footage, and live performances. They have a couple of installments up already that readers should definitely check out. This is a great look for the music scene and the site looks forward to watching the channel grow and come into it’s own.

$killz F/ Wave Chapelle – “Pull Up (HOLUP)”

$killz (DWYD) has been on a roll this year with the hits. And he is showing no signs of stopping any time soon. His latest effort pairs him with well known Milwaukee talent, Wave Chapelle. Their collaboration is labeled “Pull Up (HOLUP)” and it is produced by PBeezy Beats. The duo slay the record as they give the listener a street anthem packed with: grittiness, flair, and an aggressive energy. This is definitely one to bang in the speakers. The video is equally as dope. It features sexy vehicles, cinematic hood shots, a few cameos, and savvy performances. A great compliment to the single without a doubt. Readers can check out the flick above. $killz is set to drop Da Game Needs Me online by the end of this month. Early hard copies are available now though, so supporters are encouraged to reach out to the freshly re-branded emcee and snag one.

Ricky Phontaine F/ Bizal McLoud & Cree Myles – “One Day At A Time”

Remember Wise Owl Music Group affiliate Ricky Phontaine? He’s still hard at work with preparations for the release of his second LP, The Itis. He recently rolled out a new single off of the effort called “One Day At A Time.” It features fellow artists Bizal McLoud and Cree Myles and is produced by Uno Ontha Beatz. It’s a spirited number revolving around the theme of simply trying to survive day to day. Cree does a beautiful job on the hook and the fellas rock the content. It’s a nice relatable tune as a whole. There is a video for the record too. The visuals are a perfect fit for the number. They feature the trio making light of a janitorial gig that happens to be at a school. The group bring a great energy to their performances and they vibe extremely well with one another. Both in turn, make the vision a real treat to watch. Readers are sure to get a kick out of the video and should give it a glance as soon as they get a chance.

That concludes another edition of MKE Center Stage. I dig what all of these artists have going on and am happy to see the local music scene thriving. The last couple months of the music quarter are fast approaching. I can’t wait to witness how these artists and others wrap up the year. There should be a lot of dopeness on the horizon for sure. -MinM
