“You Already Know It (U.O.E.N.O. Remix)” F/ ItsYaBwoyyISM & Sky (preview)
It’s week three of King Gamble‘s Best Of 7 Series. And this week he brought along some friends for the ride. He teamed up with fellow rappers, ItsYaBwoyyISM & Sky to remix the controversial hit, “U.O.E.N.O.” by Rocko. The trio stuck with the original beat. However, they changed things up for the hook. The hook is reasonable. The delivery is carefree and the lyrics are lucid. The verses are all fresh material too. ItsYaBwoyyISM is first up to bat, Sky takes the reigns next, and King Gamble polishes things off. All three artists did their thing. They each came with hardy flows, qualified wordplay, and companionate rhymes. They capture the street, lavish, and festive themes of the initial single to the letter. A couple of observable lines from King Gamble are: “You know me. Posted up. Louis belt when I’m in the cut. Them drinks on me. Them links on me. That watch shining. N—a peep the cup. Doubled up, styrofoam, Patron in this usually. If it’s not Tron then it’s Rozay. Them bottles popping usually. Wooh! Let me slow down. Circus clowns they run around. They fake smiles and I’ll fake a pound.” Those are some descriptive and salient bars right there. All in all, this is an A1 rendition.
**My Two Cents: This was dope. The fellas went in and I like the fact that they didn’t overkill on the repetitiveness like Rocko’s version does. I think I would even go so far as to say that this is my fave of the Best Of 7 Series, thus far.
