Hailing from the great state of Texas, Hip-Hop lyricist Joe Sauseda has always had a connection with music since his adolescent years. His passion for the art dates back to the early 90’s, growing up on the Gospel and Tejano genres. He later discovered the art of Hip-Hop through the likes of: Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, Warren G, and UGK. Sauseda’s lyrics are his obsession because they come from his personal relationships with money, family, and friends. His debut EP So It Begins! discusses trials and tribulations that so many face. He likes to turn these ordeals into verses that are meant to encourage and motivate his listeners into being their best self. Sauseda has many projects on the horizon, but it is his collaboration with legendary music producer S1 aka Symbolyc One (Kanye West – “Power,” Beyoncé – “Best Thing I Never Had”) that will prove to be his major step forward.

“Welcome To Heartbreak” is the moment in life where you see yourself stuck. Looking for a way out through wrong ideas and solutions until the moment arrives that leads to a breakthrough. -Press Release

“Welcome To Heartbreak” is the soundtrack to a night of partying after you finish your midterms. There’s some really nice production done by Orange Brick Fall. And Sauseda does gives us an Asher Roth (“I Love College”) vibe, but we needed more. There is so much influence by so many dope cultures, that this track shouldn’t have fell flat. I understand what was supposed to be given by this record, however it wasn’t there. It’s like running a race and stopping two feet from the finish line. Whatever that extra ‘umph’ that’s needed, I hope Sauseda finds it before the release of his upcoming mixtape, Electric Soul. –Pooh Bailey
