Last Friday (1-25-13), Mid-West Minute Radio was lucky enough to have the opportunity to chop it up with long time West Coast rap veteran Yukmouth (Luniz). He spoke candidly regarding: his life, his adventures in Chicago, squashing beefs with fellow mainstream artists, new endeavors, and so on. He was very laid back and amicable. Following that segment, rapper KPT hit the airwaves representing for Cleveland, OH. He spoke on the cold weather, his new music, and some of the things he has learned as a newbie to the game. The night ended back in the Chi-Town with a visit on air from the one and only Mikkey Halsted. The windy city emcee discussed his fondness of the show, being inspired by Kanye West, his musical catalog, and a handful of other points. One could definitely feel the hometown camaraderie during his interview. Overall, it was a pretty lucrative night.
**My Two Cents: It was really cool hearing from Yukmouth and Mikkey Halsted. Both offered some interesting perspectives as they come from different eras and places in Hip-Hop. Mid-West Minute Radio is really taking off. A huge congrats to Baby Face Monster and his team. Check back to see what happened when Milwaukee’s own Bass Head Music hooked up with the radio entity for tonight’s broadcast. -MinM
