The Illixer’s Songs Of The Year (2016)
**Editor’s Note: And once again it’s time for the site’s biggest post of the year. The Illixer was privy to receive a lot of dope submissions for 2017. Some from long time favorites of the site and others from fresh faces that we hope will become regulars. 14 is the magic number this time around just like in 2016. I cycled thru the archives while trying to fight off the Winter chill (lol) and made some tough decisions. I think the ladies who made this year’s list take the cake for me. Women have been showing out on the music front for 2017 on both the underground & mainstream levels and I am happy to be able to experience all of it. But overall, this collective features a great selection of talent and I hope that readers dig it as much as I do. Congrats to all of the artists who made the list.
