House of Renji signee Emmitt James is back with the release of “SUNFLOWERS” as the lead single to his new project #THEFEELGOODTAPE which is slated for release this Fall. The fresh new groove features Jazz-Soul songstress Bethel Solomon. It serves as a remix to the Theo Parrish track “Lost Angel.”
“SUNFLOWERS” is truly a ‘feel good’ track. Production wise, it reminds me of some of the classic Chicago Juke Joints or House Music for the lesser. It’s not an ultra kind of jazzy but more laid back. It makes you want to bounce automatically. And it doesn’t hurt that Emmitt James really brings it. He really pulls you in and dances with you. And with Bethel Solomon’s melodic voice, “SUNFLOWERS” truly is the perfect song to spin while drinking Pumpkin Spice Lattes and watching the leaves change colors.
