It has been a while since the event scene in the Mil got to experience something a little different. This Friday (7-19-2013) will change that. Brew City King (Kingz Of The City) has joined forces with fellow artist JayPrince (Far From The Average Media Group) to bring about an event called “Putting On For The City.” It will take place at Club International. Doors open at 9:30pm and there will be a $10 cover at the door. However, tickets are on sale now via the two hosts and the scheduled performers. Additionally, there will be drink specials, contests with cash prizes, VIP seating, and tunes that range from Hip-Hop to Spanish music. The line up is pretty diverse as well. Performers include: the city’s royal team K.O.C. of course, hood oriented group YTC,  distinct energetic rapper Awol, one of the hosts with the most – JayPrince himself, fresh faces Sin Miedo Muzic, and more. All of the acts are known for bringing good energy, having great music, and pleasing the crowd. So it should be a very entertaining night. More about the event can be found on the Facebook Page and the duo have been promoting non-stop, leaving flyers where ever they are allowed. Thus readers can check their local grocery stores, bus stops, gas stations, etc. Especially, if they reside on the South-side of town. This has all the makings of an epic night for Milwaukee Hip-Hop. Hope to see you there!

**My Two Cents: This looks like it’s going to be a nice venture. Events have been few and far between around the 414 lately, so it will be nice to have something going on. And there are a lot of different elements involved in this event that make it stand out from the typical artist showcase. I plan to be in the building covering the festivities for the site and I highly suggest that my local readers come out and support too, if they are able. If you can’t make this one, Brew and Prince both promise this is just the beginning of things to come. So keep an eye out for more from the duo in the future. -MinM
