Promised readers to share some of D-Boy Keon‘s music at the end of his interview post. So figured his new video would be a good place to start. The DMV native recently dropped a set of visuals for his track with fellow rapper Plies Glizzy dubbed “U Betta Kno Dat.” Keon had this to say about the song: “It was a spirit of the moment track. Me and Plies Glizzy you can say we grew up together. We are from the same area. I’m from 34th and Minnesota and he is from 37th street. We’re three blocks away so it was a must we collaborate. This track here was deeper than rap. Our neighborhoods over the years had spurts of bad blood but certain people f*ck with certain people and we’re trying to get this money, so we decided to come together and make history. Shout out to Plies Glizzy and the whole Glizzy Gang.” The video has already received over 1,000 views on YouTube and is being positively accepted by fans. Watch it after the break.

This video was directed by HoodRoach TV. It is shot in a sepia like color with a red border on the top and bottom of the screen. The video opens with some live footage of Keon and Plies Glizzy kicking in a neighborhood. The area is full of people who seem to have nothing but love for the duo. Once the track finally kicks in, the video concept pretty much just continues from where the live footage left off. So the viewer gets to witness the twosome living it up in the streets while being heavily surrounded by the people of the block. There is also a bit of drinking and smoking going on. The video concludes with a shot of a city bus going by and then a promo piece for Twitter. And that’s pretty much all she wrote. All in all, not a bad video.

**My Two Cents: This video was alright, a little on the simple side though. It embodied the track perfectly but it didn’t do much to take it to the next level. Keon and Glizzy came with a lot of energy and personality though. That made the video worth watching. The people in the video were pretty turned up too. And it seemed like everybody was having a good time. Can’t be mad at that. -MinM
