Going to the movies is a major holiday tradition for a lot of people. There are some films released during the season that play up to the theme (Annie) and others that are a little more unconventional. One such of the latter being Unbroken. Unbroken is Angelina Jolie‘s directorial take on the life of Louis Zamperini. He was an Olympic athlete who was involved in the second world war where unfortunately he was captured. The film is based on the 2010 non-fiction novel Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand. Always one to do the unexpected, The Movie Council’s own Kal’L decided to drop a surprise solo review on the movie as a holiday gift to the group’s supporters. Critics seem to have mixed feelings about the work, find out where he lands on it after the break.
