One of the things that the average person will readily agree on is that there is never enough money to go around. Financial stability requires a daily effort and is often times a struggle. Especially for those in a lower economic class. It’s the reason that the constant thoughtless spending of celebrities ruffles so many feathers. Tiki Da Poet is one of the people who shares that sentiment and has hopes for a better monetary future. She shared her thoughts on the matter in a poem titled “To Be Rich.” Check it out below.

“To Be Rich”

(Poem By Tiki Da Poet)

I’ve alwayz wondered
How would it feel to be rich
What would it feel like to
Spend money with no worries
Not to have to worry about
Whether or not I can pay bills
Or pay my rent on time
Can I afford to buy food
I wonder what it would feel like
Not having to live from paycheck
To paycheck every week
Or every other week
What would it be like
To have money to put
My daughter through college
To have a better life than I had
One day I will know how it feels
To be able to do all of the above.

This is a pretty black & white piece. The work takes on a reflective tone as Tiki speaks on how being well off financially would greatly improve her life. There is a wistful element present as she sorts through the ideas of: free spending, having all the bills paid on time, being able to afford food, putting a child through college, etc. Though this writing is done from a personal standpoint, these are all scenarios that many individuals have pondered over at one time or another. The poem transitions from longing to achieve such a status in the beginning to the confidence that one day it will happen in the end. That bit of positivity leaves the reader feeling encouraged. Overall, this was a very relatable selection.

**My Two Cents: I loved this poem because it holds so much truth and realness to it. Making ends meet is tough. I too dream of the day where money is no object. Wealthy folks just don’t know how good they got it. Much love to all my readers on their daily grind. For more with Tiki, people can check out her new Erotic Poetry page on Facebook.
