**Note: Southern Hospitality is a new category on the site that will feature unique content from the underground/independent Southern Hip-Hop scene. Love it or hate it, it has been consistently booming over the years and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.

Smallwood is a young rapper/entrepreneur out of Nashville, TN. He has worked closely with the infamous Lil Wyte and his Wyte Music Records team in the areas of: promotion, arranging collaborations, and booking shows for a while now. He has also lent a hand in: website management, interviewing, and live web-casting. His musical background consists of working with artists nationwide like Lord Infamous (Three 6 Mafia). And he is currently building up to the release of a new mixtape entitled Dreams 2 Reality.

With that said he is presently pushing a single with the earlier mentioned Lord Infamous and Ace of the group Thug Therapy. Lord Infamous is a long time affiliate of veteran Hip-Hop group Three 6 Mafia. He is known for his dark persona and twisted lyrics. Ace has been a part of the Memphis Hip-Hop scene for some time. At the moment he is signed to Wyte Music Records as part of the group Thug Therapy and has worked with artists like Young Buck, $hamrock, etc. Thug Therapy has an album slated to be released in the near future as well.

Smallwood, Lord Infamous, and Ace hooked up for a song called “Light Bill.” It is a bass driven number with melodramatic elements and an intense vibe. The hook is solid with a catchy set of lyrics. The verses are fair. Smallwood offers a good lead, Lord Infamous spits his signature offbeat content in the middle, and Ace takes things out on a dope note. Overall, it’s a pretty decent track. As part of the pitch for the single, Wyte Music affiliate Trevor Post put together a promo piece. It includes footage of: Smallwood in the booth, a live performance, a video shoot, and more. Give it a watch below.

**My Two Cents: This was my first time ever hearing a Smallwood track and I thought it was cool. I’ve heard Infamous and Ace on other Wyte Music collabs. I think they lived up to their expectations on this cut. And the promo video was well put together. It captured the essence of each artist favorably. Oh much love to Trevor on including the site in the opening portion of the video too. It is appreciated! -MinM
