As mentioned before, Partee of Wyte Music Records and his homie Eddie Kane Jr. have two singles that are currently taking the net by storm. The 411 on the first one can be found here. The second one is titled, “Memphis N—a.” It should be noted that the beginning and end of this record include clips from a controversial cut titled “I’m A Memphis N—a” by a rapper named The Immortal Hardface. The production here is catchy. The tenacious bass & knock coupled with the savvy rhythm and rugged vibe; make for a premier combination. The hook is first-rate. The delivery is appealing and the lyrics are fresh. The verses are estimable. Partee dishes up his token flow, raw wordplay, and authentic rhymes. He puts forth legitimate representation of his hometown. A couple of lines worth observing are: “I’m the owner of my publishing. It’s copy righted. So gone bite it. Little kids can’t help but recite it. Old and young folks both like it. This on my Styrofoam cup. Turn up. Medical in my white owl blunt. Light up. I pledge to be major but independent. Memphis is who I am. Not a gimmick. Hear me say it. Then I mean it.” Straightforward yet dope bars right there. In the end, this was a slick joint.

**My Two Cents: I was feeling this song. I love the pride that Partee has for his city. However, of the two singles, “Voices” is still my fave. Partee and Eddie make a nice team overall though. Money Ball is set to be released on February 3, 2013. Which is just less than a week away. Be sure to keep up with Partee on Twitter so that you can catch it when it drops. -MinM
