**Note: MKE Center Stage is a new segment to the site that will place a bit of spotlight on new releases and such from the bevy of talent in the 414. There are so many individuals involved in the local entertainment scene that it is impossible to keep up with everyone, let alone craft separate posts for all of their endeavors. But that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be some type of acknowledgment. So every once in a while we’re going to peruse our sources and let readers know what’s popping in the Mil-Town.

Montrey Slayton – “Cake” (Video)

414 crooner Montrey Slayton dropped visuals for his hit song “Cake” towards the end of 2014. The video is shot by 40Mil and stars local model/actress Natasha Nafrini. It’s a polished and tastefully done compliment to the anthem that deals with conflicts of the heart. It also has an ending that may just take the viewer by surprise. Though it’s been out for a while, it’s certainly a must see.

Bizal McLoud – “Good Cook” (Video)

Wise Owl Music Group’s own Bizal McLoud kicked off the top of the year by releasing the video for his wildly popular track “Good Cook.” The single is from the rapper’s Da Bizness mixtape and is also currently available for individual purchase on iTunes. The visual is a product of Quality Filmz. It entails a climactic hood style premise that fits the gritty record perfectly. This is another one that readers do not want to miss out on.

Taiyamo Denku F/ Chris Rivers & Big Noyd “Meet Ya Fate” (Video)
At the tail end of the last month, Taiyamo Denku unleashed a new video for his supporters. The video is for a single called “Meet Ya Fate” off of his latest LP, Supernatural. The song includes guest appearances from Chris Rivers (Big Pun‘s son) and Big Noyd (Mobb Deep affiliate). The video is put together by EMPNE. The trio bring a raw straightforward piece to the small screen that matches the intense nature of the track. What stands out about the vision is the way that each artist’s environment ties in fittingly to their persona. Overall, this is a dope representation of pure Hip-Hop.
Lexi Trenee F/ Rich P. & B~Free – “Holiday” (Video)
Last segment, readers were put on to the musical debut of Lexi Trenee via her single “Holiday.” The uplifting number pairs her with fellow MKE talents Rich P. and B~Free. This past Sunday, she took the single to the next level by revealing the video for the track. It’s a festive watch and 40Mil is behind this gem as well. It basically centers around Lexi & Rich just having a grand old time in the snow. The two have naturally joyful spirits about them that gives the flick a feel good vibe. Which is exactly what one would expect upon hearing the tune. It’s unfortunate that B~Free couldn’t make an appearance but this is a vision that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. So certainly give this one a whirl when you have a couple of minutes to spare.
And that concludes this edition of MKE Center Stage. There is much more to come so be sure to check back. -MinM
