Mista Marcus of Bass Head Music is gearing up to release a brand new solo project. It will serve as a follow up work and is titled A.ll M.oney I.s L.egal: Volume 2. The mixtape features his original material placed to the tune of some of his favorite industry cuts. His first official release is “I Am The Streets.” The song is a remake to the Trae Tha Truth single by the same name. Marcus also chose to utilize Atlanta R&B superstar Lloyd‘s vocals.
For anyone who is not familiar with the track, the production is a very chill and smooth number. Lloyd provides perfectly harmonized vocals with savvy lyrics. And Marcus adds on a sleek flow and gratifying rhymes. The video was put together primarily by Marcus himself. As usual got to give up for an artist who directs, edits, and stars in their own flick. That is quite the juggling act. The focal point of the visuals is Mista Marcus as he shifts throughout the hood while executing his verses. His little pit stops at places like the gas station for example, provide some extra charm to the video. The piece ends with a bit of advertising for the mixtape. Overall, this was a fly effort.
**My Two Cents: I liked this video a lot. I thought it captured the city in a cool fashion and Marcus brought something fresh to the track. Also, I respect the fact that he pulled off the visuals despite the bad weather. It can not be easy filming in the rain. On another note, I am looking forward to the release of A.ll M.oney I.s L.egal: Volume 2. Heard other tracks off of the project and it’s seemingly going to be a winner.
