Delaware talent Milli AllDay tapped back in with the site a little bit ago. He decided to send over a visual this time around. The video is for his single “Like Me.” The track appears on his Date Night album and is produced by BigBoyTraks.
The production here is legit. The clean base, suave secondary elements, breezy tempo, and mellow vibe make for a smart combination. The hook appears at the very end of the track and is of an enjoyable quality. The delivery is charming and the lyrics are catchy. The lone verse is up to par. Milli utilizes a comfortable flow, proper wordplay, and artful rhymes. He does a great job of giving the listener a glimpse of his more playerish persona. He spits: “Don’t worry about tonight. Just enjoy this high. Tell yo friends if they wanna come just hop in the ride. Everything fine, everything live. Suckas still hating. I’m innovating my style. “ Gotta appreciate the carefree nature of those opening bars right there. All in all, this is a worthwhile effort.
The video for the single is filmed by Dirmscene. The concept for the piece is pretty straightforward. Milli AllDay posts up outside of a diner while gliding through his performance. The night-time setting with the neon lighting from the restaurant makes for a pretty dope background aesthetic. There are some peeks at Milli doing a little late night cruising as well. The visuals conclude with MIlli walking off as the camera fades to a shot of the cover art for the Date Night album. Overall, this is a fitting companion to the track.
**My Two Cents: Milli AllDay is an artist with all different types of tricks up his sleeve. So you never know what you are going to get. I really enjoyed “Like Me.” The song has a chill nature to it and the video is simple yet smartly put together. I like that it’s not doing too much. I believe readers will appreciate it as well.
