“Morning Blessingz” (listen)
Bringing another talented Milwaukee duo to the site. So readers meet Flo’Tron. Flo’Tron is made up of members Mic Crawf and St. Pennz. The two came together via bonding over similar beliefs and a love of REAL Hip-Hop music. Their style has been described as Soulful Hip-Hop and they have a positive reputation within the local Hip-Hop community. The pair have some new music in rotation that definitely needs to be shared. First up is a song called, “Morning Blessingz.”
This track opens with a morning radio style introduction. From there the production kicks into full force. The production is fresh. It contains a live saxophone, smooth rhythm, and a free-spirited tone. The hook is fine. The delivery is mellow and the lyrics are deep. The verses are solid. St. Pennz starts the song off and Mic Crawf finishes up. The duo each present sleek flows, acute wordplay, and personalized rhymes. Both offer the listener a little bit of understanding as to who they are in a reflective fashion. Interesting lines from Crawf include: “It’s a beautiful day out. I’m thinking bout hoofing. Opportunity is knocking. Let me try to slide my foot in the door. See what the world has in store. I see the light behind the night. I found the color within the noire. The glass is half full. I know you heard that for sure. All quotes of an optimist.” Very thoughtful and positive rhyming going on in those lines. All in all, this is a fly song. The live sax was a beautiful touch and the fellas came with choice content that would suit any morning playlist.
**My Two Cents: This was a breathe of fresh air. I love instruments, so the sax had me hooked from the very beginning. But then St. Pennz and Mic Crawf contributed substance and good energy too. So the track is just a winner all around. Readers should check out the fellas on Twitter. And check back with the site as well. A second post featuring Flo’Tron is coming very soon. -MinM
