FamousMuthafucka is gearing up to release a new project. The effort is coined Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself. It will be a four track EP that has a video component to go along with every selection. As he is a site favorite, he was kind enough to send over the pending offering’s first release. The song is called “Cypher.” It is produced by Famous himself. The production is adequate. It’s got a serious old school Hip-Hop groove to it with eclectic supporting details that come together in a down to earth manner. The content sees Famous spitting for a little over a minute straight. No hook, no breaks, etc. The elongated verse is dope. Famous imparts an unfaltering flow, notable wordplay, and gratifying rhymes. He does a respectable job of reflecting the essence of what a cypher is all about. All in all, it’s a legit number.
The video is shot and directed by TradeMark. The setting for the visual is a rundown urban structure filled with graffiti markings and lots of debris. Which is pretty appropriate for a cypher style track. Reflects the raw gritty element of the Hip-Hop culture. The concept for the flick basically just hones in on the 414 spitter meandering throughout the structure as he relays his bars. There are a sprinkling of special effects that are in place which helps to enhance the vision. The piece concludes with a couple of candid shots of Famous blowing smoke and casually stepping out of view. Overall, this is a satisfying release.
**My Two Cents: I am digging this release. The track is authentic. The production is on point and Famous does his thing with the content. He makes some really dope references that people who get them are sure to appreciate. And the video is nice. It’s not too basic or too over the top. It offers just enough to serve as a valid physical representation of the single. The optical effects are especially pleasing. I’m definitely looking forward to what’s to come from Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself. Be sure to keep up with Famous by checking out his Facebook Fan Page link at the start of the post. -MinM
