Last month’s feature on Blizz McFly was a pretty big success. So his camp was kind enough to share another single off of his current mixtape, MMXII: Year of the Elite. The track is titled “Lasers” and includes guest appearances from fellow Milwaukee artists Klassik and Money Mac. The production was once again handled by GREAT. He did an excellent job. The low bass, smooth rhythm, and various lightweight components come together to create an infectious vibe. The hook is stellar too. The delivery is magnetic and the lyrics are savvy. The verses are favorable. Klassik starts the ball rolling, Blizz follows up, and Money Mac locks down the end. All three emcees skilfully showed off their individuality with standout flows, witty wordplay, and choice rhymes. The trio offer up rich depictions of their swag while at the same time taking a few shots at their haters.

Blizz spits: “I still remain flawless, living lawless. (…) Tony Danza, who the boss s–t. Clocking dough. Drop the flow like a running faucet. Let them suckas think they on ’til I flip they off switch. Stay flossing repping Wisconsin. Ethanol so them haters begin to applaud him. Feels like I’m jogging leaving my paw prints. I’m a grind til the end of August. Do my thing for the Summer. Show my a** like a plumber. Chopping trees like a lumber-jack.” There is some sly rhyming going on in those lines right there. In the end, this song is another hit off of the tape. From the dope production to the premium content, one can’t go wrong. But please have a listen for yourself. MMXII: Year of the Elite is available now via Band Camp, so go check it out. If readers need more convincing, there will be a review of the tape coming very soon to the site. Therefore be sure to check back.

**My Two Cents: Blizz and GREAT won me over once again. They work well together. Klassik is no stranger to the site, he too always delivers. And Money Mac made a good first impression. I am looking forward to digging into the rest of the mixtape and discovering what other treasures it contains. -MinM
