Bass Head Music – “On The Northside” (Video)

by Miracle

It’s a big week for the homies of Bass Head Music. The group has two major events occurring this Saturday (5/19). One thing taking place is the finals for the Battle Of The Bands, which will be going down at The Miramar Theatre. Details about the competition can be found here. It is really crucial that fans of Bass Head Music show up and show out. The crowd’s reaction to the performers helps decide the winner. Also, the fellas are the only artists holding it down for Hip-Hop. So the win would be a good look for the Milwaukee Hip-Hop scene as well. So go support! The other thing taking place on Saturday is the release of the group’s highly anticipated debut album, Dumb Hoez. If previously featured tracks “Shwasted” and “Heartless” were not enough to peek your interest, a brand new track can be found below.

Last Friday, Bass Head Music kicked off the weekend with the release of visuals for their song “On The Northside.” The video was jointly directed by Bass Head Music and some of their peeps. The editing was handled by J.D. The Chief and Mista Marcus. The plot for the video is pretty much just J.D. and Marcus fraternizing throughout the city. Presumably on the Northside of town. Additionally, there is a cameo appearance from a very entertaining individual. The video concludes with a quick word from Mista Marcus before he and J.D. ride off in a very clean and stylish whip. This was a solid yet brief piece for another hot Bass Head Music cut. The album is going to be insane. If readers like this video, they can go and rate it here.

**My Two Cents: The Northside doesn’t get a lot of love, so this song/video are a nice change of pace. And what better artist to represent us, then Bass Head Music? J.D. and Marcus went in as always. I love the track. The video was decent but I would have like to have seen a little bit more of the Northside shown off. Like a few popular spots highlighted or something. On another note, I am very excited for BHM and all that they have going on. Rooting for them to win the battle and of course Dumb Hoez will be featured on the site. If readers can’t make the battle, BHM will be opening for Machine Gun Kelly and Tech N9ne on June 1st at The Rave. Get all the juicy details here. -MinM
